China’s animal-breeding policy in the context of food security and geoeconomic integration
Abstract
Background. The article examines China's livestock policy in the context of exporting products to the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The main directions of state policy are analyzed, including production regulation, sanitary and veterinary requirements, export strategy, and measures to support the industry. The article presents the role of the People's Republic of China in the export prospects of the member countries of the supranational integration association.
The purpose of the scientific research is to examine the structure and features of the development of livestock farming in China, as well as its impact on the domestic market and export opportunities to the SCO countries.
Materials and methods. The article identifies key factors affecting the effectiveness of policies and export potential, as well as the prospects for technology transfer and development of cooperation within the region. The authors use content analysis and comparative methods to conduct a theoretical review of China's livestock policy.
Results. The researchers believe that in the future, the Chinese authorities will adopt a number of effective measures aimed at developing the livestock industry and related to the biological and climatic characteristics of the regions where intensive agriculture is carried out. At the same time, China claims a leading position as an exporter of livestock products among the SCO member countries.
